Living in Florida, we spend a lot of time outside in the evening on the porch. I have been searching forever for a way to keep my wine cold. Ice melts too fast and other chillers are just not good enough for me. I like it close to freezing cold. This chiller goes down to 41degrees! And it stays there. I wish it could go a little lower, but this is, by far, the best chiller I have found.Nice design and very easy to use. Works great as we used it within a couple days for a small gathering we had and it did the job well!I bought this wine chiller after a trip to the Finger Lakes in New York where the wineries use these. I couldn't wait to buy one for myself. I absolutely love it! It chills my white wines perfectly and I love that I can set the chill temperature on it! I would definitely recommend this for any wine lovers out there!This wine chiller was exactly what I was looking for to keep my wine chill on my deck. Works great! I prefer this over the typical wine bucket that only keeps wine cold for a short period of time. Highly recommend.Great space saver stylish and cools quicklyFirst, this is not a quick chiller. We put a bottle of sweet fruit wine (apple wine) and set it at the lower range (42 degree F). The inside of the house was 70 degrees and about 40% humidity, within the operating range. The chiller said it had reached 42 degrees at about 55 minutes. The bottle was chilled, but it was only about 55 degrees. We let it sit in there until an hour and half had passed and it was down to about 50 degrees. We didn't want to wait hours longer to see how cold it would ultimately get.We were really hoping this would chill the wine a little quicker. We're not disappointed in the product, but will just end up using it differently than we had hoped. Where this will be handy is to keep wine chilled when it's out of the fridge, such as at a bonfire or something. It would chill quicker by putting it in the fridge or an ice cooler.One thing that is really awesome is that it comes with a DC converter (cigarette lighter) for a car. This opens a whole new world of uses.This item is pretty cool--literally!It is a refrigerator which uses an inexpensive solid state component to individually cool a bottle of wine or soda at your table. It is not cordless--it must have access to electricity but it comes with adapters for house current and also a cigarette lighter adapter for use in a car or camper.Simple to use, you place the bottle and turn it on. Set the temp and it gets to work cooling. Note that the bottle cannot be larger than a standard wine bottle or it won't fit. I also noted that it takes a bit of time to cool a room temp bottle so this may work better keeping a bottle cool than bringing one to temp--it's not as quick as a bucket of ice but it is also not wet and messy to use.The design is straightforward stainless and black plastic--kind of utilitarian but not unattractive.Comes with a reusable rubber wine bottle stopper and, also, a nice touch, a gift bow in the box.The bottle cooler is an impressive piece of hardware with its sturdy stainless steel case and digital controls. I had very high expectations for the functionality but was underwhelmed with how slow it cooled a room temperature 750 ml bottle of Malibu. It works well as an iceless electric ice bucket but I recommend to plug it in and set the temperature well in advance of using it. Don't expect it to be an instantaneous chiller.
