I was skeptical that a full arm sleeve would be comfortable biking in 90 degree heat and I have to say I’m more than pleased. No sunburn, stayed in place, and actually felt like air-conditioning on my arms with the breeze. Highly recommend.**Update - things happen, products fail and for me it's how a company handles it that is more important. I reached out to Louis Garneau and they provided an immediate response and are taking care of it under their 1 year warranty. I haven't had problems with any of their products in the past so chalk this up to a one time thing but greatly appreciate how they addressed it! I appreciate a company that stand by their product.Quality issue as the stitching failed. Or my biceps ? are just too big and busting through the seams....but I think it's the former sentence.Recently switched to recumbent riding (saddle and neck issues) but found I was getting fried in the recumbent position - arms, legs and face. Decided to try these based on some online research and recommendations from fellow riders. The sleeves are easy to get on and off. They do an excellent job of sun blocking. Cooling - jury is still out. When it isn't terribly hot they are nice to wear - keep the sun off, arms stay nice and cool. Added bonus - in recumbent position I was finishing a 3 hour ride with a crust of salt on my elbows. The sleeves eliminated that. But on very hot and humid days I'm not sure they cool all that much. On very hot but not so humid days they cool a bit better but I have to remove them as soon as I stop for more than a traffic light change or I feel overheated. Still using them, especially on longer rides that exceed the 90 minute lifetime of most sport sunblock lotions. ( I actually find the better sunblock lotions to be effective for about 2-2.5 hours.)Ordered these in a M based on upper arm inches. Silicone bands way too tight. Kept M's as a spare and ordered XL-the largest size I could order. These are very cooling, they feel very nice, good sunblock, but LG needs to fix this concern with the silicone band being way too tight. Perhaps something is lost in translation as LG is Canadian and we are U.S. buyers? Order 1-2 sizes up.These fit great and look sharp. They do well to block the wind and are easy to remove as the day becomes warmer or weather conditions change. My only complaint, is that the combination of material and the way these fit so well (so they don't move or slide on the arms) makes them susceptible to tearing. The first pair I got tore the first time I removed them while trying them on. Realizing this, but also loving them, I returned them and got another pair. This new pair, I have treated very carefully. Just don't pull at them. Grab them by the very top elastic band and carefully roll them down to take them off. I have worn these dozens of times and put them through the wash (although I never put them in the dryer) and they look like new with no tears, rips, or loosened seams. These arm coolers worked great on a 5 day ride in the middle of an unusually hot summer (temperature close to 90F). I loved using them as an alternative to sunscreen. I'm not sure if they kept me cooler but at least I didn't feel significantly hotter with them on. I even crashed once with them on and the fabric held up very well to the asphalt with just a few little holes. Unfortunately since they are white they tend to show the dirt but the material seems to be somewhat stain resistant and can easily be handwashed and dries quickly when hung up. The grips worked well most of the time but my arms are a little skinny and sometimes they would slip down. If I pulled them up high enough they usually stayed there for at least an hour.Fantastic product. I was pretty skeptical. I rode a century on 7/16/16 giving these their first try. It's South West Missouri, hot and humid. Heat was in the mid 90's, humidity as well. I slipped these on as the temps started to rise around 9am. All that I need to do was drizzle an ounce or so of water on each arm every 30-45 minutes as soon as the cooling effect goes away, grab a water bottle and give a little drizzle. Not a problem on a supported ride with stops every 15 miles. I can't imagine how well they would work with lower humidity. They created an overall cooling effect to my whole system. I guess my arms are now radiators. The SPF factor was an added bonus as I didn't have to lather up with sunscreen during the ride.Better than sunblock..more economical!
